Marjorie’s bandaged head after her surgery

In my last newsletter I mentioned that my wife Marjorie had been diagnosed with a brain tumourand was going to have surgery to remove it. Well, she went into hospital last Thursday and it was a very long and difficult operation but the surgeon was pleased to report that he is pretty sure the tumour was benign and he managed to remove all of it.

Amazingly, Marjorie came home today, only four days after the operation, and she’s doing very well indeed. Thanks to everyone who prayed for her safety during and after the surgery.

She had been planning to release an EP of 5 songs she’s written and recorded recently, but after the diagnosis she decided to make it a full-length album, and the Saturday before her surgery she recorded guitar and vocals for five extra songs!

This is one she wrote while she was in the MRI machine for her pre-op scan. It’s called “Hole In My Head” and there’s also a hole where the solo should be as we haven’t had time to finish it yet.

Let us know what you think! [EDIT: This is the finished video from later, featuring Don McGlashan of the Mutton Birds!]
